Hi all! This is going to be a super informal newsletter post, but I wanted to make sure I got this list up for anyone who is either currently in Copenhagen or is traveling there soon. Because Sweden is so close to Copenhagen (literally a 30-minute train ride), I go there almost every summer. And when I was there a few weeks ago, I reached out to everyone on Instagram to see what recommendations people had. I was shocked by how many amazing responses I got, and while I havn’t had time to look each one up, here they are in their original DM quotes.
Copenhagen Food Recs
Surt pizza
Baka d busk
Bar Victor for drinks!
Poulette and pompette next door
Fabro for brunch
Paludan Bog & Cafe (Super cute spot that doubles as a bookstore)

Poulette!! Dua Lipa älskar stället

Hoest was *not* cheap, but oh so delicious. Any of Sanchez’s eateries is well worth it. Olive Kitchen was not as expensive as others, but still very good.

SURT or POPL!!
You probably already heard but this [atelier september] is a MUST for breakfast!
Another Pizza for delish ny style pizza, Grod (several locations) for risotto dinner, Garbanzo (super casual) for amazing falafel/pita, Saji (more sit down but not crazy expensive) DELICIOUS Indonesian, ramen to biiru for a good bowl of ramen
Popl (NOMA's burger spot) , Hija de Sanchez (ex-NOMA employee's taco stand (also has a brick and mortar named Sanchez). If you go to POPL, get the peas. Insanely good.
You need to go to OMAR and do their tasting menu, it’s randomly like $50 for 10 courses or something but one of the best meals I’ve ever had
Vækst! Really tasty and good vibes
La banchina, gasoline grill, Gaza grill!
Bar Amore
Affordable in Copenhagen.. I really like Sanchez, Mexican food.. divine!
La Vilette! Not perhaps so affordable but: Mangia, Bar Apollo, Osteria 16. Or Bar Moro.
Boullion restaurant is one of the cheapest dining spots in cph. It pretty good for what you pay for.
Delphine is really good, highly recommend
Can you just go to hart bakery for me <3
Pasteur Vinbar, mother in the meatpacking district, llama (not the cheapest but sooooo worth it)
Mikkeller warpigs, restaurant schonnemann, reffen market! I found that nothing felt that affordable in Copenhagen (coming from Chicago where I’m used to pricier restaurants) but these were all amazing options with good food and experience and not awful in terms of price.
Mad & kaffe, mothers, Kødbyens fiskebar, atelier 33. There is also district tonkin, delphine, All the streetfood shops at reffen. Hope you find something nice!
Växt och höst!
Bottega Barlie!
Komplet is really good and very affordable
Let me know if you have any others and I’'ll make sure to add to the list!

We are in Copenhagen now. I would add Torvehallerne Fresh Food Market. NorcinoCPH makes some delicious pastries. There are a lot of different places to eat in there and all have been delicious. I'd also add Sct. Peders Bageri & Konditori to the list.
